PT Wilmar Cahaya Indonesia Tbk is an indirect subsidiary of Wilmar International Limited (WIL). WIL is Asia’s leading agribusiness group and ranks among the largest listed companies by market capitalisation on the Singapore Exchange. WIL’s history and milestones reflect decades of growth under the stewardship of an experienced Board of Directors.

The Wilmar Group was co-founded by Mr Kuok Khoon Hong and Mr Martua Sitorus in 1991. The Group’s first project was PT Agra Masang Perkasa (AMP) – a 7,000 ha oil palm plantation in West Sumatra, Indonesia. The Indonesian business flourished and today, Wilmar’s operations include plantations, palm oil refining, palm kernel and copra crushing, as well as specialty fats, oleochemicals, biodiesel and consumer pack edible oils manufacturing.

Mr Martua Sitorus, who was previously Chief Operating Officer and Executive Deputy Chairman of WIL, stepped down from the Wilmar Board in July 2018 to focus his attention on his family business. He is no longer involved in the management of Wilmar.
